Our Experience at the Food Fair Cuba 2024: Opportunities and New Horizons

At Velamar we are excited to share our most recent participation at the International Cuba Food Fair, one of the most important events in the agri-food sector of the region.

This fair, which took place from the 20th to the 23rd of May, gathered companies, producers and distributors from all corners of the world, offering a unique space to establish commercial connections and finding out their latest trends in the food market.

A Growing Market

Cuba, with its strategic position on the Caribbean and its growing demand for quality food products, presents great opportunities for international commerce. During our participation at the fair, we had the opportunity of getting to know directly the necessities of the Cuban market, identifying potential partners and exploring new areas of collaboration.

Our Exhibited products

At our stand we displayed a variety of product that caught the attention of local and international buyers. Some of the most highlighted products included:

Igharoma – Flavours & Technology: With its extracts, flavours and technological solutions for the food industry. These products were very well received for their innovation and adaptability to any market.

Envaselia: Thanks to its specialization in the fabrication and distribution of packages for diverse sectors, it awoke great interest among the local distributors and potential commercial partners.

Fabpsa: Focused primarily in the production and commercialization of ingredients and additives for the food industry, they offer innovative solutions that enhance the flavour, texture, look and preservation of food products.

Networking and New Commercial Relationships

Apart from showing our products and those of our main partners, this fair allowed us to connect with other key players in the food industry. We kept bountiful conversations with distributors, retailers and representatives of hotel chains, which opened up new opportunities to expand our presence in the Cuban Market.

Trends in the Cuban Food Market

One of the recurring topics at the fair was the growing demand of healthy, organic and sustainable foods. Cuban Companies and consumers are more and more interested in products that promote a healthier and green lifestyle. This approach coincides with our philosophy of offering food that not only satisfy the needs of our clients but also contribute to a more sustainable future.

Looking Ahead

Our participation at the International Cuba Food Fair was quite an enriching experience.
